On Monday, September 2, at the Bethania Center in Harissa, the "Be Baladi" Association, in partnership with the Polish "Saint Charbel Fenisia" Foundation, and in collaboration with Antonine University and the Lebanese Red Cross, launched the "View Lebanon" project, funded by the Development Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland (Polish Aid).

The event was attended by the Vice President of the Polish "Saint Charbel Fenisia" Foundation, Mr. Adam Rozlonyk, and Project Director, Mrs. Aleksandra Rozlonyk. The Lebanese Red Cross was represented by Mr. Ismail Chahine, Director of First Aid Training, and Miss Farah Soubra, Sales Manager for First Aid and Public Safety. The event was also graced by the presence of the Advisor to the Minister of Tourism and Mr. Imad Farhat, Head of the Destination Management Organization in Byblos.

The event witnessed the presence of clergy, heads and members of municipalities, representatives of associations, tourism destination management organizations in Lebanon, travel agencies, missionary movements, akhawiyat, scout associations, Caritas youth, and youth from various Lebanese regions, including Jebbeh, Zgharta, Tripoli, Batroun, Byblos, Jounieh, Sarba, Antelias, Beirut, Zahle, Baalbek, Deir El Ahmar, Sidon, and Tyre.

The event included a presentation on the mission and role of "Be Baladi" in Lebanese society, as well as an overview of the projects it manages in Lebanon. The launch also featured a song and a promotional video for the "Ya Ayni Al Baladi" project.

Mr. Adam Rozlonyk, Vice President of the Polish "Saint Charbel Fenisia" Foundation, delivered a speech highlighting the foundation's role in supporting sustainable development projects in Lebanon. He emphasized the strong relationship with "Be Baladi" and praised the new "View Lebanon" project, which represents a developmental, economic, and tourism initiative for Lebanon.

A detailed presentation of the "View Lebanon" project followed, showcasing its goal to introduce tourists and visitors to Lebanese towns in an innovative way, while creating new job opportunities by training 100 people from various Lebanese regions to become professional local guides. The project aims to promote domestic tourism, build a communication and marketing network through an electronic platform, and support the sustainability of the tourism sector by empowering individuals with the necessary tools.

Dr. Jalkh spoke about Antonine University's role in hosting the project and training individuals to create a new model of local tour guides who will contribute to the development of their regions and boost the local economy.

The event also featured a performance by artist Rafka Fares, who delivered a selection of songs celebrating Lebanon, adding an artistic touch to the gathering that resonated with the audience.

The event concluded with the screening of a promotional video for the "View Lebanon" project, accompanied by the hope that this initiative will bring prosperity and development to Lebanon. The evening ended with a toast to the occasion.

Be Baladi Foundation emerged in 2023 from the shared vision of a group of passionate young individuals who identified a critical need for localized support and empowerment of youth. With a focus on creating sustainable initiatives, the Foundation draws upon its extensive experience in implementing humanitarian and development projects, notably highlighted by the success of the Community Farmers Market launched in 2021.

Our journey began with a deep-rooted commitment to fostering positive change within our community. The Community Farmers Market stands as a testament to our dedication, showcasing how grassroots efforts can lead to tangible impacts. Through this initiative, we not only revitalized the agriculture sector but also played a pivotal role in generating employment opportunities for the youth of Lebanon.

Today, Be Baladi Foundation continues to be spearheaded by a dynamic team of young leaders, driven by the belief that collective action and innovation are key drivers of progress. Our ongoing projects and collaborations echo our ethos of sustainability, inclusivity, and empowerment, as we strive to create a brighter, more resilient future for generations to come.
